is It Possible For A Cell Phone Truly Replace Your Home Phone?

Nowadays, there are far more folks that are ditching their landline telephones in favor of their T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T or Sprint Cell Phones.  Some do it because they usually use their cell telephone to speak.  Others do it as it saves them money, by taking advantage of low cost plans from companies like T-Mobile and Sprint Cell Phones.  It may be the in thing, but it is something that should not be treated lightly.  Is having a cell telephone actually the only way of communication?  Is it a good idea to restrict yourself with that and get rid of the landline phone?

For some, it could be a good idea.  For others, it could be a different story.  Here are some ways you can identify whether your cell phone can replace your landline phone, or if you still need both :

One.  Landline phones will work wherever you utilize them.  Even if you’ve got a metal roof on your house, you will continue to be able to dial out.  More than likely, you won’t get a signal using a cell telephone.  Metal and cell telephones do not work well together and just about each time you attempt to use it, you’ll get a signal interference.  You would leave from the house in order to get a signal.

two.  Receiving less telemarketing calls on your cell telephone is a blessing.  Thanks to the FCC ( Fed. Communications Commission ), telemarketers aren’t permitted to leave automated messages on cell phones without permission from the owner of the phone.  If you decide to ditch your landline for a cell telephone, you won’t endure many telemarketing calls to your T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T or Sprint Cell Phones.

three.  There are some areas in which your cell telephone will not work because there is a fixed amount coverage.  Even in some of the major areas there are dead spots where the telephone won’t get a signal.  The signals can always get blocked and you cannot always rely on getting a signal in a major metropolitan area.

4.  If there’s thunder and lightning in your neighborhood, landline phones are not the best communication devices to use.  It is very dangerous and people have been killed as the landline telephones are wired.  The hurricanes can hit the wire and you could be influenced.  Using a cell telephone in a hurricane is better because there isn’t any direct connection between the lighting and the telephone.

Depending on your telephone wants you have to decide whether you must just have a cell telephone, a landline, or both.  You also need to take under consideration if you have got a family that includes kids.  In that case, you may wish to have both options.  It’s less complicated to assert that you want to save cash by losing one.  However, there might be a point in time when you need both of them.  You have to weigh it out and see what the best answer is.
