Mobile Phones – Changes You Can Expect In The Future
The mobile phones of the past were quite interesting compared to today’s models. The old phones were large, bulky and had no features. Today’s phones are light, compact and have various features, like cameras, email and internet access. People did not use the old phones much, but today almost everyone has a mobile phone. If mobile phones have changed so much so far, then what does the future look like?
Looks – The appearance of mobile phones seems to be what has changed the most. Every year newer features are added, making mobile phones more than just a phone. New technology has introduced touch screens, videos and internet capabilities. It is no jump to think that one day mobile phones will be integrated into clothing and let you carry your cell around with you no matter where you go. Voice recognition is also something that will help in the change of appearance in mobile phones since keypads probably will not be needed for much longer.
Battery Life – Battery life is a common complaint of mobile phone users. Our current phones run down more quickly than we would like. But the phones of tomorrow will have batteries that last for weeks. Phone chargers will be a thing of the past. You will only need to charge your phone wirelessly. Public places will be hotspots where users merely stand and re-charge their mobile phones in a just ten minutes or so. There will be no more, ‘I broke my phone charger’ or ‘I forgot to pack my phone charger’.
Features – Features have been a major change in mobile technology. Entertainment has become common place on mobile phones. You can already text, email and instant message others in addition to just calling them. Mobile phones have become almost like an entertainment center in the palm of your hand. You can access the internet, watch movies, get driving directions and do numerous other things just from your mobile phone. In the future it may be possible to get cable television and play games that are better than what you can get on a video game console. Music is also evolving and with it the sound capabilities of phones.
Lifestyle – We already use our mobile phones for a number of day to day needs, from scheduling to email to GPS directions. Imagine it going beyond this: you could shop online with your phone, or order coffee or a meal ahead of time on your way to a shop. You could even control your home’s heating system or other features with your phone to have it ready for you on your return.
